Planning and Economic Development

Mission:

Planning - Assist landowners and developers to improve their property in a manner that complies with state statutes and county ordinances.

Economic Development - Facilitate activities to improve the Custer County economy.

Department Description and Function:

The Planning Department provides information and education to the public concerning development of property in Custer County.  The Department regulates the subdivision and use of land, issues building permits, and inspects roads and septic systems.
